Offering helping hands for life's challenges...
Let's face it; life can be difficult. Sometimes all we need is just a little help to navigate the challenges that life presents. What we ultimately learn is that all of life's obstacles add up to exactly what we needed to develop us into who we were meant to be.
PEACE comes from WITHIN.
As a solution focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we cannot change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to use those situations to help you grow, learn and understand life's twists and turns. I can help you feel empowered with resources and skills through the use of EMDR therapy.

It's time...
to put the joy back in life.

Counseling is a relationship in which a professionally trained person (therapist) helps you to better understand yourself and solve problems. Seeking counseling is not a sign of weakness. Many people find that professional assistance is a mature and positive step toward success.
-
Counseling takes place in a private, secure, uninterrupted setting.
-
Counseling is a collaborative process in which the therapist acts as a facilitator so that awareness and change can take place. One goal is for you to learn new skills to help you resolve your current problems and become more capable of solving new problems on your own in the future.
-
Counseling involves talking about yourself, including your family and personal history as well as your thoughts and feelings.
-
Counseling is also referred to as “therapy” or “outpatient mental health services”.
What to expect in the first session:
After you have scheduled your first appointment and before actually meeting with the therapist to begin counseling, you may find yourself experiencing anxiety and wondering what you will talk about. This worrying is normal. Therapists are aware that meeting with a “stranger” to discuss personal concerns can be intimidating. Remember that a therapist is a trained professional who will work at establishing a comfortable and supportive environment for you. I will want to focus on you and may ask you a number of questions about yourself, your history and your current problems.

RETURN to being you!
No one is immune to periods of fear or sadness. How we respond is important. By facing that fear or sadness we discover that we can survive. In time, the pain fades. Facing emotional pain is the most healthy response. When people suffer, it is important to help them feel less alone in the world. It is important to help people in crisis solve the problems in their life. People in emotional pain need to be empowered and supported. Counseling can be a wonderfully healing journey.
Find your balance.
Ready to feel empowered and on a postive path to growth and well being? Therapy is the process of solving emotional problems by talking with a person professionally trained to help you achieve a more fulfilling individual life, marital relationship, or family relationships. With counseling, the process of change will, in many ways, be unique to your situation. Who you are as a person will help to determine how you go about changing your life. Counseling begins by first defining the problem, discussing your thoughts and feelings, understanding the origins of the problem and developing news skills and healthy attitudes about yourself and others. The most important factor in the success of therapy is good communication between therapist and client. Often talking about your difficulties may exacerbate your symptoms, and cause you emotional pain, however, over time during the counseling process you should see an improvement.
If you are looking for guidance or extra support through a challenging situation or you are just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

"
I was nervous at first about talking to a therapist. I didnt think I needed counseling. Now I don't know why I waited so long. For the first time in my life I can finally say I have found peace.

I have had many therapists in my lifetime and Rose was the only one who I felt actually cared about me and my progress. She was always there precisely when I needed her and willing to do whatever she could to help me. I can honestly say that if it had not been for her love and genuine concern, I would not be who I am today.

My relationship with Rose has been a gift and a blessing from God. Her compassion and empathy makes you feel comfortable opening up to her, and allows you to trust her. She has your best interests at heart and is a gifted counselor.

Rose's communication skills surpasses all other therapists I have worked with. She has the unique ability to keep her client's interests at heart while validating and making all other parties involved feel comfortable and respected. She was the only one that could facilitate a successful dialogue between myself and my family.
